Benefits and features of Krishak Bandhu Scheme 2024
- The benefit of this scheme will be given to the poor farmers of the state.
- The beneficiary farmers will be given assistance of Rs 5,000 under crop insurance, which will be given in two installments – one in the Kharif season and the other in the Rabi season.
- Life insurance of 2 lakh rupees will be given to the beneficiary farmers under the scheme.
- The government has kept a budget of 3 thousand crores for this scheme.
- Farmers who die suddenly will be covered under this insurance cover.
- Taking advantage of this scheme will improve the economic condition of the farmers.
- There are two main components of this scheme which are as follows: –
- Assured Income – Under this, assistance will be given to those farmers who will be selected under this scheme. Farmers with one acre or more than one acre of land will be given assistance of Rs. 5000 in two installments during the Kharif and Rabi seasons. The first installment will be given in the month of June and the second installment will be given in the month of November.
- Death Benefit – On the death of those farmers whose age is 18 to 60 years, they will be given a life insurance of Rs 2 lakh. It includes suicide.
